Yesterday, JB & I spent the day explorin’ (perhaps I can say my favorite borough) Brooklyn. I’ve always been partial to Brooklyn — when I had to move out of there 12 years ago I left kicking and screaming and crying. Literally. (I was only 11, but still). Now having gone back many, many times over the years to both our old neighborhood and my favorites such as Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo, I can see myself still living there in the near future. My brother lives in Park Slope and we visited him yesterday as well…just the constant, exciting access to shops, restaurants, parks, etc. makes me feel like callin’ Brooklyn home again soon. Who knows…
Anyway, we started off in Williamsburg – which is what this post is about – and made our way over to Smorgasburg (a Brooklyn Flea & Food Market). So….vintage for dayzzz.
Williamsburg is pretty grungy/real hipster, so I’ll be honest and say I can only take it in doses. Yesterday’s dose was pretty cool.
Smorgasburg has something like over 120 food and goods vendors and it’s definitely a sight to see. I believe it’s usually outdoors in Spring and Summer but it is still indoors at the moment and pretty much rustic eye candy everywhere you turn. (I wanted to snap so many more vendor pics, but sometimes photos weren’t permitted and I of course wanted to respect the artists’ work).
I decided to separate my Brooklyn pics to keep this one Smorgasburg style. As you can see, the pics that I managed to snap are kinda off-set and blurry… I felt that helps capture the atmosphere a bit. More colorful/crisper/brighter Brooklyn pics to come this week :).
Being a Chloe and Isabel Merchandiser is a fun side project that I’ve taken on a few months ago to supplement my separate, super fast-paced and insanely busy career at a digital advertising agency. I’m really excited to share some photos of the new Spring collection on here because I absolutely love so many of these pieces.
All the Spring styles and colors are making me dream of warmer weather and no more frigid days here in NY.
Since it’s now March, I’m hoping that my springtime daydreams will come true soon… :)

As always, feel free to reach out to me about any C+I questions, inquiries or details!

Today was a great day. I got a promotion at work, the skies were blue and very sunny (despite the bitter cold) and I’m currently traveling home accompanied by the most beautiful sunset I’ve seen in a long time.
It’s moments like these that make me proud of how things in my life are turning out and really make me take a second to appreciate all that I’ve been given….as well as where my hard work has taken me over the past couple of years. And also, how beautiful it is to be a New Yorker :)
Cheers to the weekend and to more exciting moments to come!
